There’s only one George Hook and last night the unmistakable broadcaster gave Donegal the thumbs up!
The Newstalk presenter brought his Right Hook show to St Eunan’s GAA Clubhouse in Letterkenny and he didn’t disappoint.
The big man revealed how he thought Donegal was a long way away from Dublin but that he was delighted he had made the journey.
He revealed how he had left his wife, the lovely Ingrid, relaxing in the grounds of Rathmullan House Hotel.
Hook entertained the crowds which included many familiar faces including Pauric McDaid, Paddy Mullen, Gabriel Flood and Frankie Doherty.
He also gave Donegal South West TD Thomas Pringle a good grilling and also gave the thumbs-up to Donegaldaily.com!
Hook also dedicated the last hour of his afternoon show to a debate on Sunday’s big game between Donegal and Dublin.
His guests Oisin McConville and Ciaran Whelan gave their opinions on why they thought the finlaists to face Kerry would come from the capital or the hills.
McConville plumped for his fellow Ulstermen while former midfielder Whelan thought the Dubs would shade it.
The craic went on until late last night when the club held a special preview night which also featured Joe Brolly and Declan Bonner.
