The under 10s hosted a blitz in the banks on Saturday last and competed superbly in all games with Jay Doherty, Jack Doherty, Mark Walsh and Tuathal Lunny in great form. Thanks to Dungloe, Glenties and Gweedore for travelling and making the blitz a success. Under 10 training continues on Tuesday and Friday evenings at 6pm in the banks.
The under 13s will play in Division 1 of the league with the first game against Aodh Ruadh in the banks next Saturday. The under 14s will play Naomh Columba in a friendly in the banks this Friday evening.
The under 16s will play against Aodh Ruadh in the county championship Division 1 final in MacCumhaill park Ballybofey next Wednesday evening at 7pm. There will be training at 8pm on Friday evening and its important that everyone is there. It would be great to get a huge support up to shout on the boys have done us proud this year.
An enjoyable day was had by our stars of the future in Croke Park last Sunday at the Kerry v Mayo Game. Thanks to all the kids that travelled and a special mention to Feda o Donnell Buses. A great day had by all.
The Seniors and Reserves both travelled to Ballyshannon and both came back empty handed. The Senior game was in the balance for much of the game but Aodh Ruadh managed to get he crucial scores at the right time.
The ladies have qualified for the league final with a probable date being September 4th – as a curtain raiser to the Junior Championship final but not finalised.
The club are organising a fundraiser with a difference during October and November which should be good craic also. 20 homes will host a Come Dine With Me night by inviting friends and family to join them for a night of great food. All guests will meet up in Dannie Minnies that night where the night’s winners will be announced. Please see facebook and website for further details.
C.L.G. Dun na nGall have launched a major training fund draw which will take place at the end of August and all clubs are asked to participate and support. Tickets can be got from any member of the club committee with tickets priced at 10 euro or 3 tickets for 20 euro – first prize 5,000 euro.
Lotto details for week 18th August; jackpot 2360 euro. No jackpot winner. There was two match 3 winners – Hugh Sharkey – Coilceim, Lorcan O’Donnell – 54 Solomon Place Letterkenny. Numbers were 3-5-13-17.
