HE’S no stranger to controversy, often tearing strips off teams he sees on The Sunday Game on RTE.
Now former Derry GAA star and pundit Joe Brolly is at the centre of another controversy after backing Donegal to beat Kildare in the All-Ireland quarter final this Saturday at Croke Park.
Brolly said that Kildare’s season would end this weekend.
Racehorse trainer Ted Walsh hit out at Brolly during the Galway races (listen on the video above)
Speaking during a break in racing, talk turned to Kildare’s upcoming game with Donegal.
It seems Walsh, who is currently based in Kildare, took exception to Brolly’s comments regarding the county’s quarter-final appearance being “as far as they’ll go”.
In response, he fumed: “I hope they ram it down Joe Brolly’s throat before the week is over.”
