Club Notes – Naomh Adhamhnáin – 11.07.11
The Seniors moved up the League table after a good away win against Naomh Conaill, holding on to win by a point. They have no match this weekend. The Reserves had no game at the weekend as Naomh Conaill were unable to field a Reserve team. The Juniors also had no game last week and no fixtures were available at the time of going to press.
Best of luck to Rory, Kevin and Donegal in the Ulster Final on Sunday in Clones against neighbours, Derry.
There is a fantastic Ulster Final Preview Night in the Mt. Errigal Hotel this Wednesday (13th) evening at 8:30pm. Manus Boyle, Tony Scullion, Nudie Hughes, Paddy Bradley and Brendan Devenney will all be on stage with Highland Radio’s Charlie Collins.Tickets are just €10.
The U-21 Football Championship is scheduled for next Tuesday night, July 19th. The lads have a tough start at home to holders Naomh Conaill.
The U-14 Boys continued their good form with a good win over Fanad Gaels on Sunday. They take on Burt this Wednesday in the Park at 7:30pm. The U-14 Div. 2 Boys travel to neighbours Termon this Wednesday.
The U-10 Go Games teams are back in action this Saturday. The U-10 team travel to Termon with the U-9’s also away from home as they travel to Buncrana.
There is no Sunday Morning U-10 Football Academy this week due to Donegal’s involvement in the Ulster Final.
The Minor Hurling Championship final is on this Friday in O’Donnell Park at 7pm. Please come and support our boys. No U-16 Hurling game this week. U-12 Hurlers play Setanta this Thursday in O’Donnell Park. The U14 Camogie team played the all-county League Blitz on Saturday in Ballybofey. The girls won two matches and were very unlucky not to win a third match. In the final two matches the girls were tired out. The next camogie blitzes include July 15th for the U10’s in Burt @6pm, 22nd for U10’s and U14s and finally 29th for the U12’s in Donegal Town. The camogie referee course for adults & young whistlers has been postponed. If you wish to attend the course please contact Gavin Craig.
U-12 Hurling training is on Tuesday at 5:30pm. U-16 & Minor training is on each Monday at 5:30pm. There will be a further U-10 Hurling blitz on 24th July. The Friday Hurling / Camogie Academy is open to new players and begins at 6:30pm.
Our under 8 Hurlers attended a blitz hosted by the Letterkenny Gaels on Sunday 10th July, Aodh Ruadh, Four Masters and Setanta also attended. Again we had a huge turnout of players and parents and fielded three very competitive teams playing seven games each. Thanks to the hosts for a well organised and enjoyable day.
There were 7 match 3 winners in this week’s Lotto draw and they each win €15.
