An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha said Michael Quigley’s registration had been cancelled “with immediate effect”.
The Supreme Court last week ruled that Quigley (68), from Barnhill Park could be named after the High Court ordered him to pay €400,000 to the victim.
Mr Quigley had denied the abuse claims and the High Court was told last week an appeal against the award was also to be lodged.
He had also signed over two properties into his wife’s name.
Brave abuse victim Dana Doherty, a 42-year-old teacher from Letterkenny, had asked that he be publicly identified.
Her solicitor Brian Gill said she hoped Irish dancing authorities would ensure all steps were taken to protect children in their care.
