FINN HARPS have lost again in the League – going down 3-2 to Longford Town on Saturday afternoon.
And for the small Harps following it was a huge disappointment as the Donegal side gave a good account of themselves and certainly deserved a draw.
Harps in fact led at half-time thanks to a Keith Cowen goal in the third minute.
Mark Salmon would go on to write all the headlines in the second half, the Longford Town man scoring twice and then being sent off.
He levelled the game from the penalty spot in the 57th minute before team-mate Don Cowan put the home side ahead in the 72nd minute.
Harps came storming back into the game and grabbed a superb equaliser through Kevin McHugh just three minutes later.
But that man Salmon popped up another three minutes later in the 78th minute to seal the points for the home side.
His role in the game was not over however – he was sent off for a cynical challenge deep into injury time as Harps pressed for an equaliser.
