Tickets for the forthcoming Fanad heat of our Strictly Come Dancing competition being held in the Milford Inn on Friday the 29th July are disappearing fast, the event is all ticket and no money will be taken on the door on the night so anyone wishing to attend what promises to be the social event of the year should contact any of the dancers or the Strictly Committee as soon as possible.
Five couples will go through on the night to face their Downings counterparts in the Grand Final being held in the Downings Bay Hotel on Aug 12th.
It was a somewhat disappointing week on the football front with the Senior and Reserve teams being beaten in their away League fixtures v N Columba on Saturday evening last , the Girls U 14’s narrowly beaten by St Nauls in the League semi-final and the boys U16 just missing out in their Championship encounter with Malin.
The Senior and Reserve teams play the second leg of the Intermediate Championship v Aodh Rua on Saturday 2nd July in Portsalon, times to be confirmed later. The Senior Ladies also play the next round of Championship v N Mhuire in Termon at 12.00 on Sunday 3rd, a big support for these matches would be greatly appreciated. U8 training is taking a break for the next few weeks.
Training will resume on Friday 15 July at 6:30 in Portsalon. Gaeil Fhánada host a GAA Cúl Camp from July 18th-22nd. The camp is open to boys and girls from 6-13 and provides a great week of sport, fun and activity.Application forms can be down loaded from @ vhiculcamps@gaa.ie or from Mace Kerrykeel, Shiels Fanavolty and Ballylar P.O, and co-ordinator Fiona Shiels. Forms and payment need to be returned by Friday 8th July in order to co-ordinate numbers.
