Finn Harps is to carry out an audit of its shareholders.
The move was agreed at the club’s 2011 AGM and is aimed at giving shareholders a greater understanding of what’s happening at the club.
John Campbell, Community Officer of the club is tasked with undertaking the audit on behalf of the club, with the help of a number of professional individuals in the county.
The audit will incorporate a detailed questionnaire being completed by all shareholders on a one to one basis in as many cases as possible and will be completed by the end of October.
The Society is at a very exciting stage in the development of the new stadium at Railway Road, Stranorlar with grant aided funds being made available for the project to re-commence building on the site.
However, on the playing pitch the club finds trading very difficult, in what has been exceptional times for all areas within the economy of Ireland.
Finn Harps Chairman, Joey O’Leary, said: “By undertaking this audit, the first of its kind since the Co-Operative was set up, we wish to get greater involvement from all shareholders in what is after all your football club.
“As Chairman, I would encourage all shareholders to participate in the audit and help develop the club and its structures so that we can build a strong Co-Operative and ensure a bright future for Finn Harps.”
Shareholders can email the club at harpsshare@gmail.com where they can have a copy of the document sent to them electronically. If doing this, please quote all share details including name, address and share number.
Further details can be obtained via the email address above or from John Campbell on 083 3820755.
The club would like to thank our main sponsors Donegal Creameries who have worked with John Campbell on this and whose help and assistance has been immense.
