Announcing the details Mayor Harvey said she was delighted to present the seminar to examine potential future employment potential for the county.
“I was delighted to have participated in the keynote event of Social Inclusion Week 2010 entitled Making the Future Happen….. Addressing the Unemployment Challenge in Donegal.
“This seminar acts as a follow on to that event and will provide an opportunity to explore innovative ways to create employment opportunities in the county.
“The audience will hear examples of good practice from other areas and will learn about the positive work that is currently happening in the county and region to maximise the potential of our own resources so as to achieve a greater level of sustainable economic development.
“Finally, I would like to extend my gratitude for the support, assistance and encouragement from every corner of Donegal that I have received during my term as Mayor of Donegal.”
Those invited to the seminar include Local Government and statutory organisations with a remit for job creation, economic development, enterprise support, training, employment and education, County Development Board (including sub groups) Partnership Companies, Family Resource Centres, Community & Voluntary Organisations, Elected Members, local TD’s, Career Guidance Teachers and unemployed people.
