Easter marks the end of yet another cross country season the beginning of many road race challenges and the exciting local primary schools athletics programme in the weeks ahead.
This Saturday all roads as the saying goes leads to the beautiful scenic village of Ballyliffin and the 2nd annual Coastal Challenge 2pm.
An increase in numbers from 2010 is anticipated which then stood at 300 so should be an enjoyable challenge.
Road circuit continues witha 3k included Easter Sunday in Letterkenny and of course the North West 10k May 1st in Letterkenny with as many as 3000 expected to turn out for what has become a serious community event.

You can of course enter both on the day otherwise.
And beyond that the inaugural Rundonegal Womens 5k on May 15th 11am in Glenveagh an event the initiative of current Lord mayor Cora Harvey who has brought Donegal County Co./ Coillte and just this week Lucozade on board as a product sponsor via Paul Cosgrove their local representative.

The primary school sports challenge now in its 41st year is massive with local regional qualifiers in May and the finals on June 1st at Finn Valley AC.
All schools in the county have beeen notified of the detailed programme this week.
