The weather conditions were good for this game and Carndonagh played with a strong breeze in the first half, it was not long before the first score with Mathew Mc Laughlin getting the Carndonagh team under way. The Carndonagh defence worked very hard in the first half, turning over a lot of ball with some great defending with Daragh Browne standing out. The half forwards along with Midfield gave great support to the defence when looking for an outlet for the ball, which resulted in some good scores in the first half. Carn finished the half well with a good lead. Jamie Mc Laughlin and Conor Doherty came on for Carn and were not long in settling into the game. Carn kept the tempo up with some good work throughout the field; there were some nice passages of play, which led to some fine scores in the second half. Luke McLaughlin, Roy Davidson and Cathal McCallion all came on for Carn to bring fresh legs to the team, with all contributing well to the game. Carn went on to win this game well in the end with solid displays from Daragh Browne Conor McCormack and Mathew McLaughlin.

Buncrana 2-10 St Eunans 2-04
Buncrana had a great win at home in this top of the table clash with St Eunans on Wednesday evening, Sean Clerkin and his backroom staff were well pleased by a strong team performance in a game that was played in far from ideal conditions. With a non-stop work rate, Buncrana were in control for most of the game. Outstanding for the home-side were John Campbell, Daniel Wilson and Shane McLaughlin.

Notes:
Minor Football
Our minor footballers completed their Ulster Minor League programme on Saturday last in Letterkenny when they played out a draw (2.09 to 1.12) with Championship opposition Antrim. This followed a two point defeat to Derry last Wednesday night, leaving Donegal without a victory and preparations will now begin in earnest for the championship which is just over four weeks away.
U14 Feile Rules:
1. Players taking part must be under U14 years of age on 1st January of that current year. A panel shall be confined to a maximum of 24 players and three team mentors.
2. All games will be played on a 15 a side basis over 15 minutes per half. An interval of 5 minutes will be allowed. Unlimited substitutions are allowed but only during a stoppage in play and with the permission of the referee.
3. Games will be played under the full rules of gaelic football. All kickouts after a score or wide shall be taken from the hand from within the small parrellogram.
4. Games will be played on a full size pitch. A size 4 football must be used.
5. Team Mentors are not allowed to encroach on the field of play without permission of the referee.
6. In League competition two points will be awarded for a win and one point for a draw. The top team in each Section will qualify for the Regional Final. Should two teams finish level on points the winner of the original game between the two teams will progress. If that game ended in a draw extra time of 10 mins per half will be played and the winner progresses. If a draw still results a further period of additional time will be played. The team to register the first score will be deemed the winners. For this period of additional time, the referee will again toss to decide which way the teams will play.
7. In the event of a draw in the knockout stages of the competition, ten minutes of extra time (2 x 5) will be played. If a draw still results after extra time an additonal period of extra time will be played. The team to register the first score will be deemed the winners. For this period of additional time, the referee will again toss to decide which way the teams will play

The Irish News Club and Volunteer Awards.
Now in its ninth year, the highly popular scheme aims to recognise the hard work and commitment given by volunteers in GAA clubs while also rewarding the clubs and schools who strive to meet the needs and demands of their communities. For the second year running, there will be a special category for urban clubs as it’s in line with the GAA’s plans for Urban Development- a policy also adopted by the Ulster Council. The awards are backed by the GAA’s Ulster Council, in conjunction with O’Neills Sportswear, the Wellington Park Hotel and Cardiac Risk in the Young.
What your club can win: The winner in each category will be awarded a £1,000 cheque, £1,000 O’Neill’s Sportswear vouchers and a full page Club Profile in the sports section of The Irish News. There will also be a highly commended winner in each category who will be awarded a £500 cheque.
What your Volunteer can win:
The winning volunteer in each category will win a £100 Irish News Reader Holiday voucher plus £100 O’Neills Sportswear vouchers.
What your School can win:
The winning Primary and Second Level school will each receive a £1,000 cheque and £500 O’Neills Sportswear vouchers plus a full page School Profile in the sports section of the Irish News.
