There is a Table Quiz tomorrow week, Thursday April 14th in the Station House Hotel at 9pm. All proceeds are being used to buy a kit for the U-14 Camogie team so please come out and support this worthy fundraiser. If anyone wants to sponsor a Spot prize, please contact Anne Forde (086-8342449).
The Seniors and Reserves are due to travel to Cloughaneely this weekend. The games will be played on Saturday evening at 4:45pm and 6:15pm (Senior)
Club Notes – Naomh Adhamhnáin – 04.04.11
The Seniors and Reserves got their League campaigns underway at the weekend against Naomh Conaill. The Reserves had a big win while the Seniors went down by a goal. The teams travel to Falcarragh this weekend to face Cloughaneely, day and times to be confirmed.
The Junior Men continue to train on Tuesdays and Thursdays as they await a start date for their League.
The Minor Boys footballers lost their opening league game away to Convoy last Friday, they have a home game this week against Cloughaneely.
The U-16 Boys footballers travel to Buncrana this Wednesday evening for a re-arranged game. The U-16 Div. 2 team are at home to Downings next Monday night (April 11th) in the Park.
The U-12 boys footballers travelled to Termon for friendly games on Monday night as they prepare for the Go Games that begin in early May. Thanks to Termon for having us down.
The Sunday Morning U-10 Football Academy returned on Sunday with a huge turnout of 120 children. Well done to all the coaches who showed up early and were so well prepared.
Girls U-12 & U-14 Football starts this Wednesday (April 6th) in the Park at 6pm. U-16 & Minor Girls are on Thursdays at 5pm and the U-6, U-8 & U-10 Girls are on Sunday Mornings at the Academy (11am). Senior Ladies training is on Saturday mornings at 11am along with the U-16’s and Minors.
The U-14 hurling team opened their season with a fine win over Setanta. Setanta were unable to field in the Minor game. The U-14 hurlers are at home this Thursday to Aodh Rua and the Minors are away to Aodh Rua on the same night. The U-10s performed well at the first outdoor hurling blitz of the year. U-12 & U-14 Hurling training is on Tuesday at 5:30pm. U-16 & Minor training is on each Monday at 5:30pm. There will be further U-10 blitzes on 22nd May, 26th June & 24th July.
The Friday Hurling / Camogie Academy will return this Friday, April 8th at 6:30pm. It will run for two weeks (April 8th & 15th) before breaking for Easter for two weeks and will resume on Friday, May 6th.
The next U-8 blitz will be held on 10th April in Gweedore at 11am. Further blitzes will be held on 8th May, 12th June and 10 July.
There will be a special hurling training session organised by the Minor County Board for U-12 Hurlers from the Letterkenny region on Tuesday 12th April 3:30-5:30 in O’Donnell Park.
There will be a Table Quiz to raise funds for Camogie in the Station House Hotel on the 14th April at 9pm. This quiz will raise funds for a camogie kit for our camogie teams. Please make an extra effort to attend our first social event of the season.
There was no winner of this week’s Lotto Jackpot (€1,000). 3 winners matched 3 numbers and win €35 each. The numbers drawn were: 13-17-19-23. Get well wishes for a speedy recovery to Colm Breathnach who received a bad injury playing for the Donegal Senior Hurlers on Sunday.
