DANIEL O’DONNELL has revealed how he almost quit the music business after just 30 fans turned up to one of his gigs.
The Kincasslagh crooner this celebrates 30 years in the music business after becoming one of the world’s biggest artistes.
However Daniel, 49, admits he almost turned his back on music altogether in the early days after leaving his sister Margo’s band in 1983 to go it alone.
“By the end of 1985 I was thinking it was very difficult and maybe I would have to give it up and try something else he admitted.
And he also revealed one of his lowest points was when just 30 fans turned up at a gig.
Daniel reveals all about his life in the music business when he chats on the Phil Mack Country Show on Sky channel 201 tonight.
