LABOUR councillor Jimmy Harte has welcomed the announcement by Education Minister Ruairi Quinn of a number of Summer Works schemes in the County.
A total of 11 schools in the county were approved for the scheme this afternoon.
Welcoming the announcement Cllr Harte told donegaldaily: “This is great news for the schools concerned and shows a commitment by the new Government to schools in the county.
“I had discussed these extensively with Minister Quinn. It shows that we are already making a difference in Government after less than a month in office.”
