The home side maintained their position joint the top of the U16 Division One table with St Eunans after this convincing win over Inishowen neighbours Urris at The Scarvey on Sunday morning. Buncrana led by 2.02 to 0.02 at half time thanks to two well taken goals from Darach O Connor and a couple of points from Ryan Curran. Urris fought hard to make a game of it but Caolan McGonagle and Daniel Wilson were in fine form for the home defence and restricted the visitors to two long-range points. Darach O Connor added a point immediately after the break, and Ryan Curran increased his tally to 0.04, while John Campbell put his name on the score sheet with 1.01 from play. They added further scores through Bruce Waldron 1.01, Jack O Loughlin 1.00 and Peter McLaughlin 0.02. The top two sides will meet in the next series of games due to be played on Monday 4th April, in what should be a cracking game of football.

Notes:
Minors
The minor league begins on Friday night with the derby meeting of Cloughaneely and Gaoth Dobhair at Falcarragh being the pick of the games in Division One where a draw cannot be ruled out, while St Eunans and Malin will fancy their chances against St Mary’s Convoy and Milford respectively in the other two games.
In Division Two Section One Carndonagh will host Naomh Colmcille at Foden and it will be no surprise if the visitors were to return home with the two points in this one. Glenfin and Buncrana should also get their campaigns off to a winning start against N Padraig Lifford and Red Hughs.
In Division Two Section Two the meeting of St Michaels and Fanad Gaels at The Bridge should be worth seeing, with perhaps home advantage favouring the home side, while their may well be away wins for Downings and Termon in the remaining games.
At County level, the minor footballers make the journey to Healy Park in Omagh on Saturday (throw in time 12.00) to take on Tyrone and they will travel again on Wednesday 6th April when they take on Derry in Celtic Park, with a throw time of 8.00 pm. Donegal complete their programme with a home game against Antrim in Letterkenny on Saturday 9th April.
The minor hurlers lost out to Monaghan on Saturday in Clones by 1-09 to 1-06 and this weekend they have a home game in O’Donnell Park Letterkenny against Fermanagh with a thro in time of 12.00.
