A VIDEO uploaded to YouTube and supposedly showing a motorcyclist doing “290 km per hour” is a fake – speeded up at least twice, according to experts.
Donegaldaily.com understands the video, which claimed to show a journey between Donegal Town and Ballybofey, was posted by a motorcyclist but he did not do the speeds being claimed.
We were first tipped off about the video last November, around a month after it was first uploaded. But we were reliably informed the video had been faked.
In the interests of road safety, we have also decided not to provide a link to the video in case it encourages irresponsible driving.
A number of comments on the video website praise the motorcyclist.
