GARDAI are investigating the theft of two quads worth almost €12,000 from a farm in Convoy.

The theft of the two red Honda quads took place at about 4.30am early this morning.

The quads, 2009 (420cc) and 2010 (500cc) models, had just been cleaned and an overhaul carried out on them so they looked new.

Gardai say the quads may have been driven away.

“This was an organised theft and we would appeal to anyone who may be offered these quads or who know where they are to contact us immediately,” said the Garda spokesman.

This is the second time the owner of the quads has been targeted by thieves.

Another quad belonging to the man was taken around St.Patrick’s Day two years ago.

Owner Richard Gregg appealed to people to be on the lookout for the quads.

“We are told that these quads could be parke dup and moved on at a later date. We would ask people to keep an eye out,” he said.

Anybody who may have information can contact Richard on 07491 47178.
