The manager of Senior Championship winners Naomh Conaill (Glenties) has resigned.
Cathal Corey has told members of the club that he will not be continuing as manager after one of the most successful years in the club’s history.
Tyrone man Corey was a very popular choice among players and mentors when he was appointed as senior manager last year.
The year before he managed the team along with current Donegal manager Jim McGuinness.
Corey is understood to have left the club on good terms and the Glenties men are now on the look-out for a new manager.
As well as winning the championship, Corey took the team to the Ulster club quarter finals.
A source at the club said they wanted to thank Corey for all his work and dedication.
“Cathal has brought a lot to Naomh and we want to thank him for that. We had one of our most successful seasons ever and it is due in no small part to him.
“We wish him the best in whatever he decides to do,” said the source.
