FINN Valley’s Tori Pena has set a new Irish Indoor pole vault record.
Delighted Irish team manager Patsy McGonagle said Tori set the new record at the University of Washington indoor meeting on Saturday.
Tori cleared four metres, 21 centimetres – one centimetre higher than Zoe Brown’s old record.
“This was a very encouraging opening performance and now with three additional meets pencilled in in the coming weeks she no doubt can go much higher having just nicked 4-31m at her final attempt on Saturday,” said Patsy.
