County Donegal had the second highest number of work place deaths last year.
Five people were killed in county in 2010 and two of these were children.
According to figures released by the Health and Safety Authority, there were 7 workplace deaths in total across the North West region last year.
Five of these were in Donegal while 2 people were killed in Leitrim.
Two of the deaths in Donegal were fishing related, while one man was killed carrying out forestry work.
Two children also lost their lives in workplace deaths in the county in 2010.
Nationally the number of people killed in the workplace increased from 43 to 47 while the number of farm related incidents increased dramatically from 11 in 2009 to 25 last year.
