IT was the ultimate game of cat and mouse in the Donegal snow- and thousands of people around the world logged on to donegaldaily.com to see it!
These wonderful pictures were taken by Sally-Ann Mulholland at the back of her home in Carrickfin in West Donegal – and now they’ve been seen in places like Chile, Australia, Finland, Spain, the USA and even Russia!
Well-known bank official Sally-Ann spent more than 40 minutes watching her next door-neighbour’s cat Larsson study his prey before pouncing.
But the mouse managed to get away momentarily and tried to find its freedom by dashing through the snow.
But like the former great Celtic player whom he was named after, Larsson proved his speed was too much for the opposition.
And unfortunately the little mouse didn’t live to tell the tale!
Sal’s husband Paddy Ban Gallagher was busy inside the couple’s home while Sal captured the wonderful pictures.
Rumour has it he isn’t a big fan of mice!
