Donegal forward Christy Toye hopes to be fighting for a place with his county in the Spring.
The 29-year-old missed the 2010 season due to a catalogue of injuries, but he is fighting to be back in 2011.
He underwent an operation on an Achilles injury last week and expects to be back in action by March.
He will miss the Dr McKenna Cup and the early rounds of the league, but plans to be in a position to fight for a place in Jim McGuinness’ team in the latter stages of the NFL.
