The Central Criminal Court is to sit in Letterkenny for only the next week for only the second time in its history.
The court, which normally hears trials of rape or murder, normally sits in Dublin.
However, in recent years in has sat in Limerick, Sligo, Ennis, Cork and Castlebar.
The first ever Central Criminal Court trial in Donegal was held over a two week period in November.
The court will sit again for a two week period starting on Monday when a jury will be selected.
The trial, which stems from an alleged incident in Sligo, will also be heard over a two week period.
