Gardaí from across Donegal were kept busy on the roads this weekend with several offences being detected.
A driver was arrested in Ballyshannon today after testing postive for cannabis on a roadside Garda drug test. The driver will face a fine, penalty points and a court appearance if subsequent tests also return a positive result.
Elsewhere, Gardaí from the Buncrana Roads Policing Unit pulled over a driver after they were detected by their systems as not having any tax on their car.
Subsequent checks from Gardaí also revealed that the car had no insurance, resulting in Gardaí seizing the car and issuing the driver with a fine and upcoming court appearance also.
