A major land, air and sea search near Ballyshannon has been stood down after a body was recovered.
A woman, who is in her mid 30s, was reported missing last night in the Cashelard area.
The search began yesterday afternoon before light faded, with the Sligo-based Rescue 118 Coastguard helicopter sweeping the area until darkness.
More than 150 members of the public turned up to help with the land search.
However, the operation was stood down this evening after a body was discovered.
It is understood that Gardaí are not treating the death as suspicious.
