A Donegal man with a recipe for success has been crowned the All Ireland Cocktail Making Champion 2018.
Padraig Storey, bartender at The Front Door Pub Galway, won the national final of the Jameson Barrelman Challenge this week.
Padraig, who is a native of Ballyshsnnon, has been working in the city center bar for almost a year and now goes on to represent Ireland at the International leg of the competition, being held in the prestigious Jameson Distillery in Midleton, Co. Cork on Tuesday 26th June.
The winning cocktail ‘The Kiwi Mate’ is the perfect combination of Jameson Caskmate IPA, 8 Degrees Citra beer, passion fruit, honey and lemon, garnished with fresh kiwi.
To celebrate the achievement, the Kiwi Mate will be served on the cocktail menu at The Front Door Pub this weekend so customer can sample the award winning drink.
All the team at The Front Door Pub would like to congratulate Padraig and wish him the very best of luck next week.
