Donegal GAA midfielder may be used to being the star of the show.

But it was his stunning bride Kathryn Russell who stole all the limelight when the well-known couple got married yesterday.

The couple, who are both teachers, tied the knot and were joined by hundreds of family and friends for a magnificent reception at the Mount Errigal Hotel.

St.Eunan’s man Rory was joined by many of his clubmates from the Letterkenny club including Brendan Devenney and John Haran.

He was also joined by many of his county team-mates including Michael Murphy, Karl Lacey, Neil Gallagher and Colm McFadden.

Rory is a son of Charlie and Agnes Kavanagh, Oaklands, Gortlee, Letterkenny, Kathryn is the daughter of John and Kay Russell, Manorcunningham.

“Rory looked very handsome but Kathryn was just the most stunning bride.

“It was a terrific day and it really capped off a great year for Rory,” said one guest.
